Yuta Okkotsu has been haunted. Since his childhood friend, Rika, died in a car accident, her spirit has been with him always. But her spirit was not the funny girl that Yuta used to know, but a terrifying and powerful being that protected Yuta. Due to Rika's uncontrollable violent behavior, Yuta was unable to stop the carnage that resulted from Rika's revenge. As a result, he encountered the Jujutsu Sorcerers, the hidden protectors of the world who were trained to fight beings like Rika. Yuta wanted to be left alone so no one would get hurt because of him, while the one who captured him, Gojo Satoru, had other plans for him. He intended for Yuta to join the Jujutsu School and use Rika's powers to help people. Yuta began to learn the principles of Jujutsu and fight against the beings that threatened humans. Alongside him was Zenin Maki, who was skilled in using cursed weapons, Inumaki Toge, who used the words he spoke as a weapon, and a talking panda. For the first time, Yuta found a place where he belonged and felt at ease with his abilities. As he gained more experience, Yuta realized that there was a greater threat than cursed spirits in the world of Jujutsu.
